From the first dugout canoes to modern high-performance yachts, sailing is a pastime that has long epitomised humanity’s flair for adventure. A perfect accompaniment to your language tuition, this programme helps you experience the Mediterranean’s stunning natural beauty in a completely different way from the usual tourist tracks, guided of course by our trained experts. Beginners will start with the basics – including boat safety and handling, nautical terminology, and the ‘rules of the road’ at sea – while experienced sailors can brush up on their tacking and gybing and even set sail on their very own bareboat charter!

Though traditionally viewed as a preserve of the wealthy, nautical experiences are now more accessible than ever with our Language & Sailing packages, taught in various locations at prestigious centres affiliated with the Royal Yachting Association. You will find the best weather between April and October, when the sea is calmer and dolphins can be spotted by eagle-eyed observers. In between your lessons you can explore the old towns and marinas characteristic of the region, or simply kick back on the beach under the hot summer sun.
