TestDaF Exam Preparation Courses
TestDaF, or Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache, is a formal examination for non-native German speakers, used to determine proficiency in the German language. The test is mostly aimed at prospective university students who wish to study in a German-speaking country.
The test itself is comprised of four sections, in correspondence with the four main language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing). Although you cannot pass nor fail the TestDaF, a minimum mark is often required for entry into German universities, and this mark may vary depending upon the course you choose. TestDaF examinations take place just 6 times each year, and it is recommended to take the exam in February or April-time if you plan to start your university course in September. As there are few test-dates each year, availability is limited, so make sure that you sign up within plenty of time!
