Learn Spanish in Mendoza

Mendoza lies in beautiful countryside, close to several national parks, in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, an ideal location in which to learn Spanish and from which to explore Argentina. For those interested in outdoor pursuits, there are excellent opportunities for rafting, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and most outdoor sports – all combined with your Spanish course. You can also divide your Spanish course between Mendoza and our 4 other schools in Argentina – Cordoba, Bariloche, Ushuaia, Buenos Aires - thus seeing 5 very different sides of the country. Argentina is a large country, made up of very distinct regions and if you learn Spanish in more than one location, you not only get used to the different accents with which Spanish is spoken in different parts of Argentina, but also see more than one part of this spectacular country.

    Student reviews & feedback

Upon arrival I was given a test to identify my level of Spanish; during my stay I was taught by three different teachers and thought that all three of them adapt well to the level of the class. Instead of group classes for 4th day, I was given 2h private classes instead which, I think, suited me quite well.

Upon arrival, I was very impressed by the big house I was supposed to stay in. I shared a room and there were also 2 more bedrooms available for 3 other students. I truly enjoyed living with the family and was surprised by their warm-hearted characteristics although they supposedly got quite a high turnover of students during the year.

    School Staff

The course materials provided were excellent. I live in Uruguay, and having the course taught in the "River Plate dialect" was very important. My instructor, Oriana Cosso, was simply outstanding; the best language teacher I have ever had.

    Wine and Spanish in Mendoza!

As part of my attempt to learn Spanish, I decided to come to Mendoza, Argentina, in order to have some classes and learn more about Argentinean people and their culture. Getting in contact with the people whose mother tongue is the language you are learning is something I consider to be of high importance since you see how things work in practice and become more sensitive to their way of living. The Spanish School in Mendoza, where I’m studying is very good in putting language and culture together and as part of our culture enrichment programme, we were taken to Bodega Escorihuela to learn something about the culture and production of wine, which happens to be the most important industry in the region, exporting wine all throughout the year countries all over the world.
