Our school in San Giovanni Valdarno

Our Italian language school in San Giovanni Valdarno, Tuscany, is located in a medieval nobleman’s house - Palazzo Salviati - just off the main square. The language school has an exceptionally friendly atmosphere, where all the staff make every effort to ensure that students feel at home both in the school and in San Giovanni.

This beautiful Italian language school, lying in the heart of Tuscany, has 5 classrooms, a terrace with views over the town and a ‘reception area’ with free Internet access for students. Students also have access to a further 3 classrooms and school cinema with surround sound in our school's second building (one minutes walk from the school building).

As well as Italian language classes, the school offers students the opportunity to study Italian and the cuisine of Tuscany, combining an Italian language course with practical Italian cookery lessons. The school also offers a highly popular ‘Italian and Cycling’ course, including 12 Italian language lessons/week, 2 full-day guided cycling tours/week, 2 afternoon visits/week, 1 dinner and picnic lunch, plus private studio apartment accommodation. With this course, you can study Italian and explore Tuscany on bicycle at the same time.

Our language school in San Giovanni also arranges Work Experience in Tuscany, for students who want to stay on in Italy after they have finished their language course.

Accommodation is available in shared apartments, private studio apartments, and with carefully selected Italian host families. All accommodation is within walking distance of the school. We advise students who want to learn as much Italian possible during their stay in Italy to stay with an Italian host family, as they will practise with the family the Italian that they study at our school.

Your teacher will be pleased to suggest things for you to see and do whilst you are in Tuscany, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy!

How to get there

Our school meets all students free-of-charge, on arrival at San Giovanni train station.

Go to San Giovanni !!!

I am just finishing my time in San Giovanni Valdarno and I just don’t want it to end. I have had an amazing time here – I just can’t get enough of San Giovanni - but the curious thing is that not even many Italians know where San Giovanni is!

It’s a beautiful, atmospheric little town, set amongst wonderful rolling Tuscan countryside and the only foreigners here are the students at the school! So, it’s a great place to learn Italian! San Giovanni itself is full of medieval buildings and really very beautiful.
