Picturesque Heidelberg

The city has a great cultural programme. Every day over 50 different events ranging from festivals, music, theatre, dance and art exhibitions take place across the city.

The castle illuminations which take place each summer, the medieval autumn fair and Christmas market are particularly worth a look!

You can also take a ride on the funicular railway, take a boat ride along the River Neckar, visit the zoo, go shopping, or even take a bike ride around the Neckar valley. I can definitely recommend the nightlife, German food and beer!

The school is in the very centre of the city, just 5 minutes walking distance away from the Alstadt (Old Town) and the main pedestrianised shopping street which stretches across the city, parallel to the river.

I stayed in the student residence accommodation which was located within easy walking distance from the school each day. This was a great way to meet other students studying at the school and other international students studying in Heidelberg.
