Living it and loving it in Malaga!!

It’s all change in our school apartment this week! Three new students have arrived and they will be sharing the apartment with me for the next two months. They are so sweet – there’s one Swiss, one Italian and and one Russian. The Italian girl is so nice and most importantly she cooks the best pasta I have had in years! The Swiss girl is always doing exercise and is so fit, and the Russian girl is really funny.

We are all going to the beach tonight for a girly night out for ice cream and drinks. They are all here for two months, which is great so we will really get to know each other.When you live together you really become like sisters and look out for one another and that is something I really like. So don’t worry about living with people you’ve never met before if you’re taking a language course – you get to know each other really quickly.

The Russian girl said she wanted to live with an English girl, which was so sweet and the Italian speaks fluent English, but we spend all our time talking in Spanish which really helps. I’ve just realised how little time I spend now speaking English and how I always think in Spanish. I feel like I’ve made lots of progress during my time here at the school in Malaga!

I went out with some girls from work the other night and they always make jokes about my pronunciation of some words and say how sweet I am. They say that I’m ‘dulce y muy simpatica’ which is nice.

My first day at work was so strange because everyone always hugs and kisses you and now I love it when I arrive and the girls really hug me and give me kisses – it’s so great, like being part of the family. My friend who worked there last month said how the girls at work adore me and I will really miss them when I go.

Well best go get some lunch – I’m so hungry x
