Video guide to Paris, France

Whether you are passionate about museums, monuments, cuisine shopping or strolling, Paris will definitely offer what you need thanks to its classy and authentic French atmosphere! One of the world’s most popular cities, Paris showcases an impressive range of historical and emblematic monuments; all gathered within the centre of the city intra muros (within the walls).

There is no need to describe the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, both located close to the Champs Elysées and both world renowned symbols of France and its rich history.

Shopping addicts are at home in Paris with the whole of Champs Elysées offering an unbelievably diverse array of shops, most of which will definitely catch your attention!

If you are a history and art lover, please be careful, you might not come back home as early as originally planned! Certain areas of Paris are literally open-air museums; there will always be small details that are worth investigating further. Going to Paris without visiting the Musée du Louvre would be a pity, 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century exhibited over an area of 60,600 square metres may be tiring, but you might not leave this place being the same person! That’s before you queue up to see the most famous and visited painting in the world – Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

If the top ten list in this video isn’t enough then go off the beaten track a little by having a stroll in the Jardin des Tuileries, created by Catherine de Medicis in 1564 and eventually opened to the public in 1667, carry on your way till the Place de la Concorde, where the obelisk stands proudly, and don’t forget to visit the Petit and Grand Palais, which aimed at housing the great artistic events of the city.

Finally, the cherry on the cake, climb the Arc de Triomphe monument, and enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings, absolutely dramatic scenery!

Learning French in Paris with Apple Language Courses will make you fall in love with the city and the language. You will soon be eager to explore the rest of this charming country!
