The beautiful island of Ibiza is one of the balearic islands, located off the coast of Spain in the Mediterranean sea. Originally famous for attracting clubbing enthusiasts, Ibiza is now home to high-end tourism. This extraordinary island has become a year-round destination for a much more sophisticated traveller.
In 1999 Ibiza’s outstanding natural beauty was recognised by UNESCO, who declared the island a World Heritage Site for Biodiversity and Culture. There are endless opportunities for you to discover pristine little beaches, or small ‘calas’, surrounded by a myriad of hiking trails. There are ancient sites dating back to different groups of settlers on the island and remarkable landmarks, such as the Posedonia of Ses Salines Natural Park, Dalt Vita - The Old City in Ibiza town and numerous picturesque villages.
Outside of the most popular tourist areas, life in Ibiza is tranquil and rural. You will find locals still living off agriculture, small village stores, olive tree plantations and fresh food markets. In the more lively parts of the island you can shop in expensive boutiques, wine and dine in a luxurious choice of restaurants, or stroll along the yacht marina, which has been enlarged and modernized in recent years.
As a mature student at our school in Ibiza you will enjoy an exceptionally high standard of language tuition, combined with many great activities, visits and social events, exclusively planned for the over 50s.
Our school is situated in the town centre, very close to the marina, the shopping mile and numerous cosy cafes. The 'Dalt Vila' – the famous historic old town is just a few minutes walk from the school.
There are 9 classrooms with air-conditioning and plenty of natural light. Facilities include a library, a study area and a lounge with snacks and a coffee machine. There are computers available for students and free wireless internet connection throughout the building. All areas of our Ibiza school are accessible by wheelchair. Next to the school you will also find an authentic Spanish bar, perfect for a drink and a chat!
