Spanish Club 50+ courses, Ibiza

Our Spanish Club 50+ courses in Ibiza take place at our Spanish language school just outside ‘Dalt Vila’, the city’s central Old Town district. Though well-known for its clubbing scene, the island of Ibiza has many hidden gems, including its stunning natural landscapes, its quaint fishing villages, and its long and interesting history. Our language school here has 9 air-conditioned classrooms, all of which are wheelchair-accessible. By studying here, you’ll benefit from access to free-to-use computers and a study room with a selection of multi-media learning resources, facilities which will help to supplement your classroom tuition. The building also has a communal area with vending machines serving a selection of drinks and snacks.

Secondary to its nightlife, Ibiza is perhaps most famous for its fortified historic centre, which dates back to the Renaissance period and is one of the best-preserved walled city centres in the world. Within these towering walls you’ll find atmospheric narrow streets, art galleries, cosy cafés, as well as attractions like the superb Museum of Archaeology, boasting some of the best-kept Phoenician artefacts in the world. A walk along these walls offers dramatic views of the city and its sparkling marina. The main gate, Ses Taules Portal, is an impressive arched doorway separated from the outer district of Eixample by a drawbridge. It’s just 10 minutes’ walk from our language school and the best way to get into the Dalt Vila. We also recommend journeying inland to explore traditional whitewashed villages like Sant Joan de Labritja or the Moorish-inspired Balàfia. Ibiza is a destination that has something for everyone!

This school is accredited by the Cervantes Institute, the government authority responsible for the promotion and assessment of Spanish-language education worldwide. It is also a member of the International Association of Language Centres (IALC) and the Spanish Federation of Schools of Spanish for Foreigners (FEDELE), two organisations committed to maintaining high-quality language tuition. The school’s prime location near the city’s best cultural and historic attractions makes it popular with students of any age.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the Club 50+ programme as standard but can be added to your tuition package.

Lodging is offered in the homes of local homestay hosts. You’ll stay with a native Spaniard and be able to practice Spanish with them, so you can carry on learning even outside the classroom. Hosts live up to 20 minutes’ walk from the school and all offer a safe and comfortable living environment. You’ll have a private single or twin* bedroom and 1, 2, or all 3 meals per day as part of your accommodation package. As standard, you will share the living and bathroom facilities with your host(s) and any other students living in the home, though some hosts can offer rooms with private bathroom access (subject to availability). Bed linens, towels, and a weekly laundry service are included in the accommodation package. You will have your own key to come and go as you please, but you must respect house rules and schedules.

If you prefer complete privacy in your accommodation, we may be able to arrange studio apartment lodging for you. Available apartments vary in size and cost; please contact us if you would like to explore this option.

*Twin rooms are only available to students travelling together.

All accommodation is available between the Sunday before the start of your course and the Saturday after your course finishes. Check-in and check-out times are usually very flexible.

How to get there

Ibiza Airport is around a 10-minute drive from the city centre and is easily accessible from many European cities.

From here, you can either take public transport to your accommodation or we can add an airport transfer service to your booking for an additional charge. If you select this service, a driver will be waiting for you at the airport when you land and will take you directly to your accommodation. If you select this service on departure as well, you will be collected from your lodging on your last day and taken back to the airport in time for your departing flight.

You should arrange to arrive in Ibiza on the Sunday before the course starts and depart on the Saturday after the course finishes. We may be able to arrange extra nights on arrival and/or departure for you if needed.
