Most students over 50 years of age are happy to join our normal language courses worldwide, at any of our schools, as the programmes are intended for adults of all ages. Indeed, at most of our schools a significant number of the students are often in their forties, fifties and over. This is especially true for locations that are more preferred by the older student, including Aix en Provence in France and Sorrento in Italy.
Some students aged 50 and above prefer to have their language classes and activities exclusively with students of a similar age. It is for these students that we offer our Club 50+ courses.
Suitability of our Club 50+ courses
On all our Club 50 courses, the students are aged fifty years old and above. The majority of these courses are offered at different levels, attract students of all nationalities and have special start dates (which you can see below).
The Club 50 courses are normally composed of language classes in the morning, with activities in the afternoon/evening, plus excursions. Three sample activity programmes are given below, but the exact programme may vary.
As on our general language course programmes, the teaching approach is practical and communicative. This means that students learn the language by using it, rather than simply by studying it.
Accommodation for older students
Students on Club 50 courses can stay with local host families, to experience total immersion in the language, or in comfortable studio apartments. “Executive” host families are sometimes available, with private bathrooms and close to the school. Some of our schools even have high-standard residences, with en-suite facilities in all rooms and on-site swimming pools.
If you are an older student and would like a special language course with us, please contact us to discuss the wide range of courses and locations available to you.
