Murcia – Traditionally Spanish and constantly sunny!

Murcia is a great city situated in Southeast Spain. This is one of the sunniest Spanish cities and you will never need to be worried about the weather because it is perfect! In addition, during the summer you can enjoy the sun by relaxing on the beach with your friends. It is very easy making new friends in Murcia since people here are all really friendly. Murcia, Spain’s seventh largest city, is situated near to the coast and you can get to the Mediterranean beaches in just 30 minutes driving. Do not worry at all if you do not have a car, the public transport is really efficient thanks to the bus and also the tram lines.

Murcia is certainly the right place for people who are looking to immerse themselves completely into a new culture and is an absolutely ideal place to learn Spanish!

German Christmas and New Year

As we get closer to Christmas the conversation in our office keeps coming back to how we each celebrate over the festive season and the family traditions we have.  We are very lucky here to be able to work in an office with so much contact with different nationalities. It’s always nice to hear about Christmas elsewhere, but it’s even nicer to be able to experience Christmas fully immersed a different country!

A tour in Tours

Located in the central region of France, Tours is a well preserved jewel of French History. The “City of art and history” was the capital of the French Kingdom in the 15th and 16th century. Tours is crossed by the Loire River, a place that has been sparking numerous artists’ inspirations throughout the times. Tours is also famous for its “art de vivre” (art of living) thanks to the architecture of its many magnificent monuments, its mild climate (important for wine production), as well as its world-renowned gastronomy.

Experiencing French life in Rouen

Rouen, the capital of Normandy, is most notable for being the place where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake! However, the city has so much more to offer than medieval history.

In 2013, Rouen celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Armada and millions of visitors to come and admire the 50 ships sailing from all over the world. People had the amazing opportunity to get onboard several of these ships and have a tour around them. The festivities also included fireworks as well as free concerts of French and international artists such as Mika!

Whether you are into sports, history or shopping, Rouen certainly has something in store for you! The city has two shopping centres, one on each side of the river Seine. In the South, you will find the Centre Commercial Saint-Sever which hosts most of the high-street brands whereas in the North, Les Docks 76 offers less common shops and boutiques.

My life changing time in Buenos Aires

Thailand, Germany, and Australia are a few places that I have been but I knew the next adventure in my life would be somewhere in South America. I had a couple cities in mind but it only took me five minutes before I knew where I wanted to live. The culture and lifestyle of Buenos Aires was enticing and lured me in quickly. Some alluring aspects to Argentina were the mix of European and Latin American culture, together with the much-raved about aspects of the city itself (not to mention the rumors about how attractive the Argentine women were!).

After lots of research, I decided to take Spanish lessons with Apple Languages at their Plaza de Mayo school in the centre of Buenos Aires. My first day was like starting high school all over again. I was meeting so many people that I couldn’t remember all of their names. Everyone was in the same situation as myself; excited to be in Buenos Aires and experiencing something new.
