Dreaming of Spanish in Valencia
Hello! My name is Sylvana. I was an intern for Apple Language Courses back in 2017. I have always dreamt of continuing my language learning and now I’ve got that chance! I’ve just started a Spanish language course with the Apple Languages school in Valencia – I am enrolled on an 8-week Intensive course, so hope to make excellent progress!
In this blog post, I will explain a little bit about what it’s like to stay with a Spanish host family. I’ll tell you my current level of the language and what I hope to achieve during my time in Valencia. I will also give you a small itinerary of a typical week with activities at the school.

The beautiful Auvergne region awaits! Vichy is a special spa town with friendly locals located in the heart of France. It overflows with authentic French culture and is surrounded by incredibly beautiful countryside. It’s known as a spa resort because of the many thermal springs in and around the city.
In the east of China lies Beijing, the largest and one of the oldest capital cities in the world. Strategically positioned as the Emperor’s home over eight centuries ago, the enchantingly historical but thoroughly modern city of Beijing invites you to discover all of its treasures.
Consistently ranked among the most liveable cities in the world, Vancouver is a place of incredible opportunity and diversity. This picturesque Canadian metropolis is surrounded by nature: mountains, forests, and the sea. However, Vancouver also packs in a large population due to well-planned high-rise residential towers that protect and preserve its green spaces.
Famous for literature, engineering, and inventions, Germany has a reputation as a key European hub of education and culture. 
Near the French border, deep in the south of Germany, lies Freiburg, a city that is undisturbed by Big Tourism. It’s okay if you’ve never heard of Freiburg before, but if you’re looking for a great environment to study German, this authentic city on the border of the Black Forest might just be the right place for you!
On the northern coast of Ireland lies a city that has it all but is, unfortunately, often overlooked thanks to its big brother, Dublin: Cork. The name Cork might not be well known around the world, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a place that has a lot to offer!
On the instep of the Italian boot lies a small town that will simply blow you away. Nestled on the southern coast of the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea, Tropea offers more than just sun and sand (beautiful though its beaches are!). The town is considered to be one of the finest holiday destinations in Italy, though its small size means that it has retained its own character.
Venice is undoubtedly one of the most popular Italian cities – in fact, over 30 million people visit it every year! You’d be forgiven for thinking that its canals are the only thing that this area of Italy has to offer. However, less than two hours along the coast is the unspoiled capital of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Trieste.
