Tarifa’s unique geographical position, on a peninsula at the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea means that a Spanish course in Tarifa is like nowhere else in the world! For one thing, nearly every day is a good day to windsurf, kitesurf or enjoy life outdoors. What’s more, the winds that come off the Atlantic not only keep surfers happy, but also mean that it never gets too hot.
The beaches are unspoilt, the waters are clear and Tarifa’s old town is arguably one of the most beautiful in Andalucia. Whatever you’re doing in Tarifa, whether it’s making the most of the waves and the wind, or simply relaxing, you’ll have one of the most arresting views in Europe. At night, you can see the twinkling lights of Morocco across the water, whilst during the day, you can see the Africa’s Rif Mountains.

Our Spanish school is right in the centre of Tarifa, just one minutes' walk from the old town and two minutes’ walk from the beach. Our school has wireless Internet access, an Internet cafe, plus air conditioning.
We have a wide range of Spanish courses in Tarifa, so we’re certain to have a course to suit your needs. You can choose to combine your Spanish course with 7 different activities, from wind and kite surfing, to whale watching and horse riding.
Our Spanish & Windsurfing Course (20 Spanish lessons/week plus 10 hours windsurfing) is suitable for all levels. Our Spanish & Kitesurfing Course (20 Spanish lessons/week plus 12 hours kitesurfing) is aimed at beginners, although it may be possible to join if you are at a more advanced kitesurfing level. To join our Spanish & Diving course (20 Spanish lessons/week plus 6 diving excursions), you’ll need to bring your diving licence with you.
Both beginners and more advanced students are welcome to join our Spanish & Horseriding, Spanish & Climbing and Spanish & Mountain Biking courses, as there are routes and trails in and around Tarifa to suit all abilities. We’re also delighted to offer our Spanish & Whale Watching Course – look out for Pilot whales, Killer whales, Sperm whales and Bottlenose dolphins!

If you need accommodation during your stay in Tarifa, we can arrange studio apartment, shared apartment or campsite accommodation. Many of our apartments are large enough to take families, so if you’re travelling with your children, we can find an apartment to suit you. If you want to make as much progress as possible with your Spanish during your time in Tarifa, then stay with one of our carefully selected host families. All accommodation is within walking distance of the school.
After Spanish class, you’ll find lots to do in Tarifa. There’s one evening activity/week included in the cost of your course, plus a free tutorial service. Like our other Spanish schools, our school in Tarifa offers a wide range of optional activities, including weekend trips to Morocco and excursions to locations such as Gibraltar, Ronda, Cadiz and Seville.
Getting to Tarifa is easy. Simply fly to Malaga, Jerez or Gibralter. We can arrange an airport transfer for you, if required. Alternatively, take the bus to Tarifa. Our school can also arrange car hire - please contact us for details.
